Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Maintain and develop operational Cameron Sense Rig Equipment products with focus on control system for offshore and land-based drilling equipment.
  • Engineering activity related to support, modification and development of new and existing products.
  • Technical follow up of Service engineers and Cameron drilling equipment in operation.
  • Participate and lead installation and test of Cameron drilling products.
  • Quality control of queries, reports and technical documentation from customers, service engineers and other services departments.
  • Report product and service quality, and participate in product improvement programs.
  • This position involves some traveling and periods with on-call duties.
  • Up to 2 months travel offshore/onsite pr year

Qualifications & personal attributes

  • Engineering education with mechatronics, electronics, IT/networking or similar, preferably bachelor or master degree level. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
  • We are hiring both seniors and juniors, so Graduates are welcome to apply
  • Experience with programmable controllers (PLC).
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Experience from offshore industry is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience from offshore industry
  • Experience with electrical/hydraulic drawing tools, for instance AutoCad (2D).
  • Experience with mechanical drawing tools, for instance Inventor (3D).

Personal qualities:

  • The ability to work independently, and at the same time be a team player.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Good communication and co-operation skills.
  • Ability to multitask in high activity periods.

This is a permanent position based at Kristiansand and reports to Discipline Manager, Technical Support.
