Senior System Architect

Semcon in Norway is located in Kongsberg with about 78 employees. We participate in all parts of the product development chain; market support, develop specifications, preparation of business model, design, procurement and production. This includes also testing and verification of the product. We are now looking for a senior system architect that has strong experience with software development. Furthermore, you should have a good understanding of level system and customer needs -  like: “response time is more important than cost”. A broad experience from converting such high level needs into stakeholder requirements, a system architecture, and a functional description ready for software implementation is necessary. Together with our costumers we are creating new, complex, mechatronic systems: this is your field of interest. Main tasks will be system architecting in cross functional, early phase development teams.

Qualifications

• Preferably 10 year product development experience
• Experience from top level system architecting
• Experience in object modelling, preferably in UML
• Hands on programming, preferably C/C++
• Experience from hardware-based industries and cross functional technical work
• Ability to mitigate risk in product development Project

It is a clear advantage with experience in one or more of the following:

• Requirement management
• Systems modelling tools including SYSML, and architectural frameworks
• Functional safety
• Autonomous systems
• Lean product development, scrum based development methods
• The Norwegian language, and the English language
• Leading cross-functional product development activities

Education

Master degree or equivalent qualifications.
