Are you the Electrical Area Designer we are looking for?

Aker Solutions are looking for new area engineers with experience from 3D modelling who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans. The position is located in Oslo and will be part of an experienced and well qualified team of engineers working with greenfield projects.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Electrical 3D modeling (PDMS) and electrical design
• Perform electrical area design and develop relevant area engineering documents such as cable rack layouts, earthing drawings, lighting & small power design documents and typical installation details etc.
• Review and implement vendor information for equipment package interface into area design
• Follow-up of tie-in and hook-up activities affecting electrical discipline
• Ensure implementation of statutory requirements, design basis, specifications, standards and corporate requirements
• Updating of document register
• Report progress to discipline lead on activities and deliverables against project schedule
• Follow-up of verification activities to ensure quality in the disciplines work

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent education background
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience from area design in an EPC environment, preferably from the oil and gas industry
• Good knowledge of typical electrical equipment used in the oil and gas industry
• Experience from PDMS/E3D or other similar applications/systems
