Manager - Group and IFRS reporting

Höegh LNG is looking to hire a Manager - Group and IFRS reporting, to work in close co-operation with our group finance team and local finance teams abroad to ensure high quality in our consolidated accounts and our consolidation reporting. You will be working with continuous improvements to our financial reporting procedures, systems and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and laws and regulation within finance (IFRS).

With a subsidiary listed on NYSE, the group must comply with SOX for its financial reporting. As part of our digitalization strategy, we are in the process of implementing a new ERP-system with consolidation and treasury sub-systems.

The candidate filling the position must have a good overall and detailed understanding of accounting and reporting as defined by IFRS, and what is required for the company to always comply with good internal control and be compliant with SOX requirements. Manager - Group and IFRS reporting must be strong with numbers and systems and be able to communicate well in written and oral form.

The position is included in Höegh LNGs Finance division located at Skøyen in Oslo and reports to Senior Manager Group Accounting and IFRS reporting.  

The main responsibilities for the position will be:

• All aspects of the consolidation process, including elimination of Intercompany transactions, investments in subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates, segments, calculation of non-controlling interest, equity reconciliation, setup of consolidated cash flows and note disclosures
• Participation in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS to group management, board of directors and the Oslo Stock Exchange
• Assist with keeping Höegh LNG group reporting teams regularly updated on application of new accounting standards and recent developments in IFRS
• Participate in quarterly debt covenant compliance process
• Participation in the implementation and development of the groups new consolidation and reporting platform
• Ad-hoc analysis to management

Qualifications

• Masters degree in audit or accounting
• Minimum 5 years working experience with financial reporting and consolidation in an international company, preferably listed or audit firm
• High competence in accounting in general, consolidation and IFRS, preferably in complex areas such as financial instruments (hedge accounting), revenue recognition and leases
• Experience from financial reporting systems, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and an interest in data quality management. Experience from implementation of ERP, consolidation or other reporting systems will be an advantage
• Good understanding of internal control activities related to operations and financial reporting. Experience from implementation of or working in a SOX environment will be a benefit
• Proficiency in English
