Development and Production Norway (DPN) is, an operator and partner on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS); responsible for managing the NCS resources in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner; to create value for our owners, suppliers and the people of Norway. Equinor has today a solid position on the NCS. We have fields of all sizes, from giants such as Troll, Statfjord and Gullfaks, to small fast-track projects tied to existing infrastructure. Equinor’s ambition is to ensure at least 60% recovery from the NCS. Operations Technology (OTE) in DPN provide technical operations support across operating regions in DPN and into the new field developments on the Norwegian shelf. OTE contribute to safe, effective and sustainable operation, maintenance, modifications and decommissioning of installations. We contribute heavily in shaping the future of energy and realizing the potential on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). Technical Integrity (TI) maintain the overall technical integrity of installations in DPN. Plant Integrity’s main focus is on safe, reliable and efficient operation & maintenance. The engineers in TI are organized in a technical competence unit responsible for continuous improvement and for developing and managing technical expertise across systems and tasks. Working in the competence unit, you may be exposed to many different and exciting technical tasks within operation, maintenance and modification projects.

Job Description

We are looking for candidates within electrical technology to strengthen our Stavanger/ Bergen/ Stjørdal/ Harstad offices within electrical technology in general.
As a part of a technical/ operational department you will develop and use your expertise, within plant integrity, project development and projects, maintenance and operations, on a wide range of tasks across the network. 

•  Maintain technical integrity for selected electrical systems
•  Verify and approve technical solutions.
•  Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of electrical installations.
•  Initiate, follow up and take over modifications on existing facilities
•  Promote and implement safe and effective operation and value creation
•  Participate in and contribute to the improvement and development of products, processes and internal standards
•  Contribute to the development and transfer of experience in the sector and in the internal network
•  Promote energy efficiency and low-emission solutions
•  Sporadic journeys offshore must be expected 

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in electric power engineering
•  Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
•  Vocational certificates within the electrical profession count positively
•  Relevant experience can compensate for requirements for formal competence
•  Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal (technical integrity)
•  Experience or expertise within one or more of the topics:
    - Engineering, commissioning, maintenance and / or modifications
   - Operational experience on some of the following topics in the operation and maintenance of electric power systems is an advantage; high voltage technology, switchboard systems high and low voltage, electric motors and VSD systems, transformers, ATEX, generators etc.
    - Power production and transmission,
    - Electrotechnical calculations and system analyzes
    - Power Management Systems,
    - Substation Automation Systems (IEC61850)
    - Energy efficient solutions
    - Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary experience
