Civil Engineer

We are now looking for a Civil Engineer to join our procurement team!

As a Procurement Engineer you will lead purchaseprocesses within different technical areas, and together with your team have an important role for the progress of the project and the final financial result. We are looking for a person that is structured, analytic and able to prioritize your work scope in a hectical work day. We encourage newly educated canidates to apply, as proper training will be given.

Obrascon Huarte Lain is one of the biggest construction companies in the world, with over a hundred years of experience. OHL have projects in more than 30 countries and on 5 different continents. In Norway OHL is the main contractor of the EPC Ski contract on the Follo Line Project, which is considered the biggest high-speed railway project in Norway. The contract consists of the building of the new Ski Station, 3 tunnels, upgrading and expansion of tracks between Ski and Langhus and an upgrade of the public area around the station.

The work will mainly consist of the following:

- Prepare purchase order based on input from project departments

- Make technical clarifications in relation to input

- Obtain, negotiate and evaluate offers on purchase order

- Research on local providers in the market

- Registration of offers in database

Experience/Education:

- Civil Engineer degree or a higher degree within a technical or economic field

- Relevant experience can compensate for education

- Experience from the Construction sector is a plus

- Ability to learn technical descriptions and clarifications in order to understand provider

- Experience with negotiations and purchase

- Fluency in English, both written and orally

- Knowledge of Norwegian and Spanish language is a plus
