Technical Safety Engineer

Aker Solutions has secured new long-term contracts on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and the project portfolio for our engineering department in Sandnessjøen is rapidly expanding. We are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from front end studies to modification projects and various specialist services.

The engineering department in Sandnessjøen consists of 38 highly qualified engineers and we are currently looking for a Technical Safety Engineer to complement and strengthen our team for future growth.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Safety engineer is responsible for planning and execution safety and environment activities within modification tasks
• Safety Analysis
• SIL verifications
• Risk Assessment
• HSE / Layout, HAZID and SAFEOP reviews
• Safety & WE design.

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• MSc or BSc degree
• More than 2 years relevant experience from industry: e.g. engineering company or consultant
• Knowledge with Norwegian offshore regulations and NORSOK standards
• Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English.
