Primary Engineer

We are offering a position as Primary Engineer - Grid Integration Systems Integration at ABB AS, in Harstad. We are a growing organization, with good order intake on the Norwegian market.

The primary engineer will provide engineering support to the Service Engineering team in the production of all Primary Substation Project drawings and associated documents. Engineering of primary apparatus in high voltage substations from 12 - 420 kV.

Main tasks will be;

• Arrangement drawings of Air insulated substations in CAD software
• Arrangement drawings of Gas insulated substations in CAD software
• Detail drawings of steel foundations for HV-apparatus
• Interfacing with document management system, developing own CAD skills and supporting initiatives to develop 3D/BIM capabilities if required
• Short circuit and force calculations
• Earthing layouts
• Production of Bill of Material
• Communication with engineers at ABB's Operation centers

Requirements;

2 year Vocational school (Fagskole) or above. Electircity supply industry(Energimontør) experience will be a plus.

Fluent Norwegian and English.

You will be a part of Grid Integration Unit in Harstad, a unit within ABB Power Grids division. We deliver complete substations as well as upgrading existing Substations in Norway. Our responsibilities are primarily within high and middle voltage products, transformers, protection and control systems as well as building, installation and commissioning.
