Principal Engineer - Structural analysis & calculations

Aibel is a leading service company within the upstream oil & gas and offshore wind industries. In addition, we operate two modern yards in Haugesund (Norway) and Laem Chabang (Thailand) with complete prefabrication and construction capabilities.   At our office in Stavanger, we are approximately 300 project engineers with high technical competence. As a Principal Engineer in Aibel, you will work professional independently within a multidiscipline environment. You will take part in small and large maintenance- and modification projects, or studies. You will work closely together with colleagues from your own discipline and other disciplines, and follow up vendors and deliver good solutions for our customers.   We are searching for responsible, visionary, open and flexible Principal Engineer who wants to contribute to Aibel's future. • Structural analysis, calculations and design reports of main, secondary and outfitting structures  
• Execute structural concept studies/ FEED studies
• Checking of other engineers analysis, calculations reports
• Interaction with other disciplines   

Education and work experience:            

• Master degree in structural engineering 
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in structural discipline. Participation in EPCIC projects in Norway is required  
• Understanding both design and strength analysis of main structures (e.g. offshore modules) and secondary outfitting structures (e.g. deck structures, monorails, pad eyes, walkways, pipe supports, access platforms etc.) 
• Participation in FEED studies and EPCIC projects
• Experienced with:   Analysis software StaadPro, Sesam, Abaqus, MathCAD   Norsok-standards, NS-standards, Eurocodes and DNV-regulations   MS Office standard software   
• Practical understanding and experience from collaboration with the prefabricated workshop is an advantage
