Technical Crane Instructor

National Oilwell Varco Norway`s Training Center in Kristiansand searching for a course instructor with relevant background in Mechanical discipline within the offshore segment and/or other industries.

As an NOV instructor you will be part of an international technical environment serving customers worldwide.

Our main activities are conducted in our facilities in Kristiansand, which includes crane simulators and real hands-on equipment. We also provide Training offshore, on -site and at other NOV Training centers abroad. You will teach course participants with difference backgrounds and nationalities.

As an Instructor in NOV you will be exposed to many of NOV`s new products and be able to stay updated on the latest technology.

Main tasks will be:

• Teaching both customer and internal employees in classroom, simulator, hands-on workshop and onboard rigs/drill ships.
• Develop new and improve existing course material according to NOV standard.
• Maintaining course equipment as required
• Acquire knowledge on new products ready for the market.
• Participate in projects as required

Travel must be anticipated. There will be possibilities for competence building by participating in project work, courses, field work and service jobs.

Qualifications:

We wish to hire positive and contributing coworkers. Knowledge of our business sector is an advantage. 

• Electro-Mechanical technical and/or engineering education
• Minimum 3-5 years instructional / technical experience of Knuckle Boom Offshore/Subsea Crane & Lattice Boom Offshore Crane
• Proven excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Norwegian, written and oral
• Proficient MS office package
• Knowledge of SIEMENS Hardware/Software and instrumentation preferred
• G5 or Stage 3 certified crane operator will be a benefit to absence of technical education
