Java Developer to Enonic!

About the role

On behalf of Enonic, Academic Work seeks their new, experienced and structured Java Developer to become a part of their in-house environment. As an experienced Java Developer, you will play an important role as for how their platform will be developed further. You are not a "do'er" but will influence the architecture from beginning to end. Their organizational structure is flat and the communication paths are short for an end decision to be made.

Which technologies will you be working with?

As a Java Developer at Enonic, you will only work with the latest technologies, as they want to be up to speed with the latest versions at all times. You will therefore not work with old codes, but only use the latest technologies such as Java 11, Progressive Web Apps, TypeScript, GraphQL and GoLang to name a few.

Your work day

Throughout the working day, you will mainly work with the further development of Enonic's platform, Enonic XP, in addition to working with Enonic Markets, which is a portal for sharing apps, "starters" and various functionality libraries that they have prepared. Every second week, they run a new sprint in order to distribute tasks for the coming period. New system versions of the platform are also non-time managed, as they rather talk about coming new versions and thereby launch when it is ready.

Job duties

Enonic work from a backlog, which will give you a sufficient overview of all tasks at any time. Most of your time will be spent on:

• Creating new features and conducting research for Enonic's solution
• Consider, advise and decide on architectural improvements in the platform

In addition, you will also spend some of your time on:

• Responding to external users in a separate Slack group and bug-fixing in the platform

We are looking for

As an experienced Java Developer, you must refer to the following backgrounds:

• You are an experienced Java Developer, who immediately will make a difference
• Higher education, as this is a requirement from their clients
• Highly skilled in Java
• Favourable experience with Javascript
• Experience with Agile methods and object-oriented programming
• You are comfortable with Git as a working tool
• Have experience with Unix/Linux
