Cognizant søker Systems Engineer til Arendal

This is a 2-year engagement, on a fixed term contract, and in this role you will be a part of our “Hands and Feet support”, with typical tasks as:

• Troubleshooting end users' problems,
• Inventory maintenance,
• Dispatch of laptops and accessories,
• Ensuring all IT equipment in meeting rooms are up and running,
• Perform monthly routine checks to ensure all patches are up to date,
• Scan laptops for security threats,
• Manage spare laptops,
• Decommission laptops as needed,
• Upgrading drivers,
• Ensure all LAN ports are connected to access switches,
• Pushing software in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and publishing it to users.

The role requires day-to-day communication and close cooperation with Cognizant’s offshore technical teams based in India, and end users. Excellent English and Norwegian language skills is therefore a must for the role.

Experience and skills required

• 2-4 years of experience from Service Management / Support is must.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework is a must.
• Experience from troubleshooting, installations, upgrading of operating systems, laptops etc. is needed.
• Additional experience and skills
• Having experience from SCCM is a plus.
• Basic Knowledge of MS Intune is a plus.
• Knowledge about Application Catalogue etc. is a plus.

Personal abilities needed

• Must be a quick learner.
• Flexible, structured and service minded.
• Excellent communication and language skills, both in English and Norwegian, is a must.
