MacGregor Norway AS, department Triplex is a large supplier of cranes, deck machinery and other equipment for the fishing, research and offshore fleet. In addition, we are developing within new business areas to meet the future of maritime activities. We are approx. 100 employees and have office and production facilities at Averøy.

We are looking for two Engineers - Mechanical Design, one Senior Engineer and one Junior Engineer for early assecion. We are seeking motivated and structured employees who are proactive, takes responsibility and are willing to play a central role in the implementation of small and large projects that involves both delivery and development of prototypes.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The candidates should have a good basic education in the relevant discipline and find motivation to be in the first line when new solutions are to be developed. You should have solid competence in machine construction and material techniques. It’s an advantage if you also have experience as an engineering lead or as a technical coordinator. Relevant practical experience is very positive. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the whole process from concept stage, through engineering to completed product and documentation.

 Tools we use:

• SolidWork for 3D modeling and detailing
• SolidWorks Simulation for FEA strength calculation
• Mathcad for manual calculations
• SolidWork PDM for document management
• SAP for material and production management
• MS Office and Google Suite

Expectations: 

• Experience in Mechanical Design
• Experience in Hydraulics
• Master the strength calculation, manually and FEA
• 3D modeling
• Perform detailing and production of work drawings
• Competent A or A1 man (NMD)
