Focus: Project Purchaser for Offshore Lifting and Handling Solutions
Location: Nesttunbrekka 97, N-5221 Nesttun
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Purchaser will be responsible for placing orders based on the established needs in projects
•Follow-up orders with suppliers, project and technical department until delivered equipment at our production site mainly in Poland and Romania.
•Contribute to further development and improvement of the company's purchasing strategies, routines and procedures
•Cooperate with purchasing group with supplier performance, new sources of supply and vendor approval processes and plans
•Focus on cost savings and efficiency improvements
•Supplier negotiation & contract management
•Execution of supplier audits, supplier qualification & approval process
•Extensive collaboration with the company's other departments
•Participate in transportation/logistics of final project deliveries and dialogue with carriers.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
•Economical, logistics or technical education, level Bachelor or Master degree. Relevant experience from similar position and a proven good technical, economical understanding can compensate for lack of formal education
•Project experience from technical construction work; ship or offshore, preferably involving cranes, winches and lifting equipment would be an advantage, but not a requirement
•Minimum 2 years relevant work experience from operational Purchasing is required.
•Solid technical understanding
•Good economical understanding
•Good computer skills – operating systems: MS Office, Axapta
•Independent, a good team player and proactive
•Structured, creative and solution oriented
•English and Norwegian language skills, both written and verbal
•Good communication and social skills and high interest in collaborating with people worldwide (internal and external)
•Willingness to travel if sometimes needed
•Relevant experience in purchasing, logistics and order processing
