Wilhelmsen Ships Service is looking for a new Ships Agency Operator for our Mongstad office

In this full-time position you will take care of the organisation and administration of ships that are handled by Mongstad office. Mongstad Ships Agency department handles liquid and dry cargo and a variety of husbandry tasks.

Your responsibility is to ensure that all ship-proceedings in the ports are handled and executed in a controlled manner. You will work from both inside the office as well as on board of the ships.
Willingness to work outside office hours and in weekends.(if needed)

Duties and responsibilities:

• Coordination between customer, shipping company, principal and other related parties.
• Drafting and taking care of documentation and correspondence.
• Responsible for all operational and documentation matters.
• Monitoring financial processes such as credit monitoring, checking invoices and issuing quotes.
• Prompt communication and coordination with all stakeholders, effectively and concisely.  
• Maintaining contact with all relevant suppliers, service providers, captains, shipping companies and port/city authorities.
• Maintaining customer relations and regularly visiting local customers.

 Education

• Completed education on an intermediate vocational level, preferably related to shipping;
• At least 1 years of experience as a Boarding Clerk and/or Marine Operator;
• Have good communicative skills and good knowledge of English, both speaking and written.
• General computer skills and interest in various software
• In possession of a B driving license. 
• Work location will be Mongstad.
