Main Purpose:
Lead day-to-day accounting, tax, payroll and treasury activities in accordance with PepsiCo accounting policies and procedures, ensure timely, accurate and cost-effective financial reporting in accordance with local statutory, US GAAP requirements and PepsiCo policy. Support building systems and processes that enable effective controls as well as most efficient and optimized results.

Accountabilities:

• Direct and monitor a variety of accounting activities to ensure that PepsiCo's financial resources are led in accordance with accounting principles and align with all meaningful regulations, laws, and standards.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable; general ledger maintenance; financial analysis and reporting; budgeting, revenue, and asset accounting.
• Review all financial statutory reports and accounting statements to ensure they have been accurately prepared.
• Provide technical expertise and advice on accounting issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and lead their financial responsibilities.
• Act as main point of contact and oversee ongoing relationship with external consultants (3rd party payroll and VAT service providers) and Accounting Shared Service Centers (SSC) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Lead day-to-day Shared Service Center resources, and track performance
• Lead and supervise Accounting SSCs/3rd party providers to ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and on time. Supervise and support on accounting treatment and accuracy of transactions
• Review VAT monthly returns prepared by SSC/3rd party service providers
• Follow up the new changes in tax law, statutory reporting regulations and USGAAP changes and get them applied to the transactions on time.
• Ensure correct account combination settlements to verify accuracy of financial documents
• Ensure completeness of Payroll and Intercompany transactions to financial documents
• Ensure correct revaluation of FX balances both in local and GAAP books
• Lead statutory accounting and relationship with internal/external auditors
• Act as SME for Accounting and Reporting areas for system implementation, improvements and harmonization/standardization projects

Requirements:

• Accounting / Finance Degree
• 7+ years of Accounting / Reporting Experience
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP and Statutory/Tax Accounting
• Experience with financial reporting and monthly reconciliations
• Experience with different financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle, HFM)
• Managerial and/or leadership experience
• Multinational, multi-country accounting environment
• Payroll experience (including expat assignments)
