Aker Solutions' Technology Centre for mechanical products located in Tranby is responsible for Subsea Trees and Workover System deliverables out of Norway. The Product Support department is now offering an exciting summer internship which will last from June to August 2019. As a Product Engineer -Electrical Distribution System (summer intern) you will be part of a team of technical advisors who provide support towards our ongoing projects and you will learn about our products for subsea equipment such as Xmas tree, Tie-in system, Work over system and Umbilical work. 

You will work together with some of our most experienced and knowledgeable engineers delivering specific products on exciting projects. You’ll get the chance to become well acquainted with the Aker Solutions organization, to expand your network and to gain valuable work experience in an international environment. We can promise you it will be both challenging and fun!

This internship is for students that have finished their 2nd year of a Bachelor’s degree or 3rd /4th year in Master’s studies.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:

• Support projects with general engineering tasksPrepare product presentation and datasheets
• Review supplier qualification and documentation

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s student within Electrical engineering or Cybernetics
• Knowledge of IT software such as Microsoft Office etc.
• Good communication skills in English and Norwegian, both written and verbal
• Ability to take initiative and to be flexible
• Good cooperation skills, social competency and interest in team work
