Software House is looking for experienced software developers

Software developed is intended both for internal use in the Aker family and for external customers. The successful applicant will be part of a product development team in a growing software house. Responsibilities and Tasks: 

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Review and debug code
• Perform validation and verification testing
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Document development phases and monitor systems
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
• Be a player in a product development team

 

Knowledge/skills required: 

• Technical knowledge and understanding of all parts of cloud development
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• Extensive experience in software development and scripting
• Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks
• Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Go) 
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases 
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently
• Enjoy tutoring and mentoring developers
• Lifelong learner!

 

Experiences required: 

• Experience (Full stack) from software development including information security. Preferably from cloud projects on Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure
• 4+ years of experience as a developer

 

Educational background: 

• University level (science) or relevant experience from Software development and design

• Google Cloud Platform technology stack and key services
• Java, Python, C#, nodejs
• Angular - Javascript/Typescript
• HTML/CSS
• Database Technology - SQL & NoSQL
• Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/…)
• RESTful APIs & microservices architecture
• Version Control (git)
• Jenkins
• Cucumber
