Senior Analyst - Cost Development

 

The role:

You will be part of the Capabilities team in Orkla Group Procurement, responsible for Procurement processes in Orkla supporting the 155 FTE global sourcing organization. Orkla has set very clear targets on improved EBIT margins in the strategy period 2019-2021. Hence a key priority is providing the Business Units in Orkla with proactive and comprehensive information regarding actual and expected cost development information where you will play an integral part.

 

Main tasks:

  • Process ownership for collecting cost input from category teams and communicating with the business
  • Deploy a new format for market intelligence communication
  • Provide aggregated analysis and recommendations on behalf of all Procurement
  • Together with colleagues in Procurement, Finance, Sales improve definitions and standards for cost development and price management
  • Continue to develop the Cost Development tool (Microsoft Power BI) with support from Orkla IT specialists
  • Ensure that all procurement spend over time is covered in the process and tool
  • Support the e-sourcing process and set up a link between contracting and cost development tools

Your qualifications and profile:

We are looking for an ambitious team player with excellent communication skills, who is highly motivated and constantly seeking improvements. As a person you are structured, result-driven, pragmatic, able to build strong relations and be business oriented. You hold an M.Sc./MBA degree – preferably in Engineering, Business, or Finance. You have 2-4 years of relevant working experience. You are fluent in one Scandinavian language and English, both spoken and written.

 

To thrive and succeed in this role you are balancing a business perspective with a flair for engaging in work to design technical solutions to support the process.
