Position Summary

Mechanical design and engineering for Xsens flow meter development and delivery projects, for the global Oil and Gas industry.

Area of responsibility

- Mechanical design and engineering of Xsens Flowmeters.

- Cost optimization of mechanical design

- Responsibility for mechanical models, drawings and mechanical documentations

- Project management and follow-up of mechanical suppliers

Education /Qualifications:

- BSc or MSc within mechanical design, rotating machinery etc.

- Detailed knowledge of 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, ProEngineer etc.

- Experience from design of topside and/or subsea equipment.

- General oil field and instrumentation expertise

- Experience and understanding of general offshore operations and HSEQ requirements.

- Knowledge of relevant ISO/NORSOK standards

- Minimum 3 - 5 years relevant experience.

XSENS AS is a Christian Michelsen Research AS (NORCE) spin-off company, established 2013 for the development of industrial flow meters. XSENS AS provide clamp-on flow meters based on patented guided-wave ultrasound-technology, for accurate flow and fraction measurement of complex flow and fluid conditions. The concept provides significant cost reduction and increased reliability. In 2018 the product portfolio was launched through contracts for installation in the North Sea and the Middle East, both offshore and onshore. A wider range of product applications is in preparation, including subsea flow meters. XSENS AS expect significant market growth in the years to come.
