We are seeking a Demand and Purchasing Planner

The Demand and Purchase Planner will develop and execute optimized demand plans within the integrated planning framework. The value of this position comes from cross functional partnership with sales, product, supply chain and finance. The Demand and Purchase Planner will provide input for sizing, line planning, capacity planning and supply planning with focus on profitability growth, risk and capital employed. The Demand and Purchase Planner will receive input from Forecast, Assortment Plan, Rolling Sales Forecasts and Order book.

Demand and Purchase Planner is responsible for assessing product forecasts. The Demand and Purchase Planner creates, maintains and measures forecasts by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, category management and other sources.

The Demand and Purchase Planner is the integration point between demand and supply. The Demand and Purchase execute buy of Helly Hansen’s WW product range with focus on achieving a maximum performance and service level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers and evaluate forecast results.
• Develop rolling demand forecasts, capacity plans and buy plans.
• Inventory analysis & monitor of stock levels in all warehouse - identify and execute by placing purchase orders or stock transfer requirements
• Define different forecasting and planning approaches for NOS/Core v seasonal products in collaboration with sales and product. Recommend launch dates based on analysis of historical demand and actual deliveries so that we can better execute seasonal offering
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Product, Sourcing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for placing the buys to fulfil future demand and agreed service levels.
• Use and maintain the Demand and Purchase Planning tools including item master.
• Provide input to the Sourcing and Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new product introduction dates, and product phase-outs.

Competencies & personal attributes:

• A bachelor degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Logistics or comparable
• 5+ years’ experience in a comparable job; -or relevant education
• Experienced in working with process improvement, preferably within Supply Chain Management/Apparel and Fashion
• Experience in business related matters related to demand planning and purchasing
• Good analytical skills and a head for numbers
• Structured and thorough
• Personal drive, pro-active and result orientated
• Preferably the candidate is passionate for our Sport – Mountain and Water, brand Helly Hansen & Musto
• Flexible & Service minded
• This position requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the inventory management and purchasing process
• Superior verbal and written English communication skills.

Travel time expected: 15%
