Aker Solutions' Product delivery centre is based at Tranby in Lier. Tranby is taking the position as Aker Solutions Technology Centre for mechanical products and is responsible for Subsea Trees and Workover System deliverables out of Norway. We are seeking creative and talented Product Engineers who can strengthen our team.

Responsibilities and Tasks 

• Technical responsibility for XT Feed Through Systems, associated tools and test equipment
• Maintain and optimise product database
• Participate in, as well as drive, standardisation and cost out initiatives
• Review and consider product experience and feedback, for implementation, as part of product upgrades
• Perform gap analysis for current and legacy portfolios, latest w.r.t regulations and client requirements
• Drive implementation of product upgrade actions
• Support tenders and product development
• Work closely with dedicated resources in all regions to understand the overall workflow and secure sustainable, high-quality solutions

Qualifications and Personal Qualities 

• BSc or MSc degree with a technical focus
• 3+ years’ relevant experience in the oil industry within an oil, consulting or supplier company
• Experience and understanding of Subsea Well systems, preferably with detailed knowledge of barrier and sealing philosophy
• Experience within material technology, preferably within the use of non-metallic seal materials
• Experience with engineering practice and supervision
• Great ability to communicate and understand the value of communication to other functions such as tendering, supply chain and manufacturing
• Excellent English communication skills and cross-cultural understanding
• Experienced user of 3D design tools, preferably SolidWorks
• Familiar with relevant industry standards
