Senior Engineer, Process

TechnipFMC is a global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems, and services. Our integrated offerings range from individual products and services to fully integrated solutions with a single interface to ensure seamless execution (iEPCI™). We provide expertise across three distinct segments: subsea, onshore/ offshore, and surface. Our 40,000 people are constantly offering the best solutions and most innovative technologies to meet the world's energy challenges. Present in 48 countries TechnipFMC has state-of-the-art industrial assets on all continents and operates a fleet of 21 specialized vessels for installation and subsea construction.

We now have a vacant position as Senior Engineer - Process - Subsea Processing - Lysaker

The business area of subsea processing was established in 1999 to develop solutions for subsea separation, pumping and compression. Subsea Processing is growing at a fast pace and new technologies are continuously being developed.

Developments of oil & gas fields will increasingly be at large water depths and with long distance tie-backs to the treatment/refining facilities. Subsea processing is instrumental for developing many of the new assets. We see an increasing interest in the global demand for our solutions so we intend to expand the engineering team in subsea processing at our office in Lysaker to help execute projects from R&D, early phase engineering studies, as well as execution of large integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (iEPCI) contracts.

Main Tasks

- Innovation of subsea process systems
- Selection and specification of equipment and technology for subsea processing systems, incl. piping and equipment sizing
- Establish and coordinate technical interfaces between process and other relevant disciplines (e.g. mechanical, flow assurance, process control)
- Fluid and production profile evaluations and process simulations (Hysys)
- Establish process system schematics, operational philosophy, installation philosophy etc.
- Evaluate technical gaps, risk and maturity of process equipment
- Documentation (including technical reports, PFD's, P&ID's, Data Sheets etc.)
- Lead and/or present work at internal meetings and meetings with sub-vendors and customers, and at conferences and exhibitions when required.
- Follow up purchase orders, manufacturing and testing/qualification activities
- Preferred qualifications and personal skills
- Subsea processing requires a multidiscipline approach, and as a process engineer it is required to have a good system overview as well as a good understanding and ability to find reliable and robust solutions for applications with very stringent subsea requirements.

We are looking for ambitious, energetic and highly skilled engineers that are not afraid of crossing boundaries between chemical, mechanical, controls, flow assurance and other disciplines to challenge and optimize the established ideas.

You should have background as a graduate engineer (MSc) in petroleum or chemical engineering with good knowledge about process system design and processing equipment such as separators, heat exchangers and rotating machinery. Relevant experience from the oil and gas industry is a prerequisite. You should also be based in Norway and be fluent in oral and written Norwegian and English.

What we can offer
- Career and development opportunities in a truly international environment.
- We have an informal and stimulating working environment with high technical standards.
- Exciting and challenging work tasks within strong specialist environment
