Höegh Autoliners IT Design Lead

Höegh Autoliners is looking for an IT Design Lead role that embodies the duality of creativity and business. Your vision and output are always balanced between the ability to innovate, the effectiveness of meeting the business case, and the ability to execute. You will participate in all aspects of product development and in creating a warm coaching leadership style to nurture the digital transformation within the company and to follow up the software development lifecycles in a lean and agile manner.

Your core should burn for design thinking and are largely familiar with the design community. You love turning complex and holistic insights to actionable requirements that contributes as the platform for value creation. Aside from being a creative strategist designer, you also thrive for hands-on work; churning out design work where necessary. Ideally, you have shipped software products and/or services in your past experience.

You are no stranger to stakeholder management and are skillful in the arts of good communication and collaboration. You are comfortable in the spotlight and dares to take risks.



Key Responsibilities:

The Design Lead will create and own the requirement specifications throughout the lifetime of the system or service. This role will be active during the early stages of Business Case development through the collaboration with users and the business counterparts. Through a design-driven approach, these design artifacts or functional requirements are created and fed into the product development life cycle. In cooperation with the team, the end result is measured and monitored closely reflecting the stages of the releases, be it PoC, MVP or a simple bug fix. The goal is to ascertain feedback immediately and to continuously improve.

• Design Customer Journeys / User flows
• A/B testing
• User research
• Maintain a Digital Design System
• Wireframing / Layout Design
• Designing for mobile and desktop
• Establish long term UX vision for the company

Qualifications

• University degree Bachelor degree or college diplomas in the relevant areas with minimum five years of related work experience.
• Lead design workshops
• A solid understanding of digital designs, and responsive design
• Good grasp for design disciplines and principles such as UX, product, and service design
• Good communication skills with Tech Teams
• Good skills in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
• A working knowledge of HTML and CSS / SASS
• Working experience on tech projects
• A positive attitude and keen team player
• The ability to communicate needs in a positive and productive way
• Well organised and able to successfully reach multiple deadlines at once
