Electrical Superintendent

We are now looking for an Electrical Superintendent to oversee our daily oil and gas operations activities at multiple facilities. The role will be to supervise and direct employees involved in production, drilling, maintenance and/or construction through foremen and other lead staff.

Responsibilities and tasks

Electrical Superintendent is responsible of the marine electrical technical related tasks. 
Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the assigned vessels are technically operational and otherwise managed and manned to the extent laid down in the management agreement of these vessels
• Being a liaison for customers on Electronics/Electrical technical and operational matters, vessel performance, etc.
• Ensuring updated vessel specifications are available at all times together with details of all equipment onboard
• Determining repair specifications for drying docking, maintenance and surveys together with the most economical method of completion
• Ensuring proper up-to-date records are kept during and on completion of dry dockings and repairs for actual and anticipated expenditure as well as quality of works and products involved
• Overseeing vessel dry docking, repairs and surveys when required
• Overseas travel at short notice to attend to vessel repairs and surveys when necessary
• Compiling documented reports upon completion of each dry docking, including summaries of work carried out and comparison of budget and actual expenditure
• Sourcing, identifying and purchasing the most economical technical and operational supplies required for the assigned vessels within the authorities stated
• Compilation of operational budgets for the assigned vessels in cooperation with her owners
• Ensuring that proper records are maintained and submitted by the managed vessels at regular intervals
• Ensuring proper inventories are made at regular intervals and retained for all vessels
• Scheduling and carrying out preventive maintenance/repairs for vessels
• Attending vessel inspections
• Making suggestions for improvement of the execution of tasks and working instructions

Qualifications & personal attributes

• Minimum 3 years' relevant working experience as Electrical Superintendent preferably with practical experience on DP vessels
• Class 3 COC or above engineering background or Diploma in a relevant field
• Good working knowledge of vessel technicalities and electrical equipment
• Maritime practice knowledge is essential, logistics background is an advantage
• Well organised & take initative for timely and proper actions
• Creative, energetic and efficient
• Problem solver with strong management skills
