Operator

As Operator in G2 Ocean you are responsible for planning and managing all aspects of your assigned voyages from start to finish. We trust you to make sure the operation of the voyage optimises the voyage result, as well as meet the customers' expectations. You will be working closely with our chartering department and other involved parties. 

The Trade Teams in G2 Ocean consists of the following three roles; Chartering, Operation and Trade Controlling. The Operator will work in close cooperation with the Team leader/Senior Chartering Manager, Chartering and Trade Controlling. You will be reporting to the Senior Operation Manager.

Your main duties and responsibilities will all be related to the voyages

• Creating and Managing Core Commercial Information
• Voyage Pre-planning
• Initial Voyage Planning and execution
• Voyage Execution
• Post Voyage Activities
• Register and assist in resolving incidents in accordance with company policy

In addition to the above prime voyage related responsibilities, you will also participate in and contribute to other operational activities in cooperation with the rest of the organisation.

Experience and Education

• Maritime degree at Bachelor level (shipping operations etc) or equivalent maritime qualification
• Minimum 3 years shipping experience – preferably in dry cargo / break-bulk operations
• Sailing experience is an advantage
