We are now looking for a Product Specialist for Tie-in Systems

The Aker Solutions' Subsea Tie-in & Structure Product Management team, based at Tranby, is responsible for the lifecycle management of the Tie-in & Structure product portfolio including strategic (product roadmaps, development of new technology) and tactical (standard product platform, product catalogue) management. The team consists of 10+ highly skilled product specialist such as Product Managers and 1st Chief Engineers.

We are now looking for a Product Specialist – Tie-in Systems who can strengthen our team.

Responsibilities and Tasks      

The Product Specialist Tie-in is the Technical authority for specific Tie-in products and/or associated sub-components.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:

• Drive standardization and development of Tie-in Systems product line
• Actively contribute in ongoing and future cost reduction initiatives at system level throughout the value chain of the assigned product
• Be the focal point of contact for product development, both internally and externally, for interfacing disciplines, services and solutions
• Provide product knowledge and technical expertise to support:
  • FEED Studies, tenders and projects
  • Installation and service after products have been handed over to Client
• Coordination of the technical resource network for the core disciplines; processes, tools, training
• Competence development of product resources in Aker Solutions regional offices
• Capture lessons learned and drive processes of continuous improvement

Qualifications and Personal Qualities     

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Recognized track-record in a particular product area / discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Product/technology/technical discipline knowledge within one or more of the following disciplines; Connection Systems, Mechanical Engineering or Design (engineering, fabrication, testing)
• Specific knowledge within Tie-in and fabrication yard, site integration testing and offshore experience is preferred
• Have commercial awareness, cross-cultural understanding and be open minded towards new ideas
• Ability to work independently, to take initiative and to conduct the daily work in a structured manner
• Keen to gain technical knowledge and constantly develop own skills
• Fluency in English with good verbal and written communication skills
