Do you have experience working with Field instruments from Oil & Gas projects?

Aker Solutions' Instrument and Automation group within the Engineering Team consists of 52 highly qualified engineers with specialist competence in Automation, Field Instruments and Area design in field development projects. We contribute in all phases of the projects, from Front End studies to Detail design, Fabrication support and Commissioning. All in close cooperation with our clients, other engineering disciplines, vendors and fabrication sites.

We are looking for a Package Responsible Engineer to join the team. Since Aker Solutions is working in new areas within the Energy market the exciting tasks can be within CO2 capture, Fish farming, Floating Wind Power or in large international projects within the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for Instrument purchase packages
• Preparation of Inquiry documents including package specifications
• Perform bid evaluationParticipate in Bid Clarification Meetings
• Technical clarifications with suppliers, the project and the clients
• Update and give input to the engineering database
• Documentation handling
• Contribute in development of P&IDs
• Handle all technical parts/issues of the purchase package

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

• Minimum 3 years' of work experience within Oil and Gas industry
• Experience with Field instruments as Flow, Level or Temperature/Pressure transmitters, either in an engineering company or from a Field Instrument supplier side
• Experience with metering applications is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and systematically in an international market
• Relevant technical education
• Good team player with excellent communication skills across disciplines, functions and suppliers
• Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
• Language Skills: English, both written & verbally
