We are searching for a results-driven, highly-motivated Account Manager to proactively grow our core business lines in Norway. These include:
GeoPlacer – Provision of Wellsite and Operations Geology Consultants
Gravitas – Operational Geology Software
Spectra – Real-time Advanced Gas Analysis Service
Training – Provision of Geological and Software Training Courses

The role is based in Norway with collaborative support provided from our headquarters in Aberdeen

Account Manager Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Building upon existing client relationships and developing a portfolio of new clients
  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in the sales territory
  • Collaborating with technical specialists in Aberdeen to propose business solutions
  • Increasing the sales pipeline and revenue from new and existing accounts
  • Gathering and analysing data on local market trends and competitor activity in the region


Delivery of Sales Plan

  • Demonstrating a steady, consistent performance, selling our products and services
  • Meeting business plan targets for revenues across product and service lines
  • Developing and progressing sales pipeline, in line with sales plan objectives
  • Negotiating and finalising contracts for the provision of our services and products


Account Management

  • Ensuring all clients/accounts have an accurate knowledge of our current products and services and their key value propositions
  • Proactively engaging with clients to ensure they are deriving maximum value from using our products and services, always striving to ensure the best fit for their individual needs
  • Making regular sales trips to designated accounts
  • Preparing and seeking authorisation of commercial proposals for any of our products and services
  • Maintaining accurate records of the sales process by means of the appropriate company systems
  • Supporting the delivery of key sales and marketing objectives and methodologies as prescribed by the Sales & Marketing Manager


Internal Co-ordination and Communication

  • Liaising with department heads to ensure co-ordination of resources to fulfil any work obligations and to provide consistency of sales effort
  • Advising the Sales and Marketing Manager of any new sales opportunities
  • Working with colleagues within the sales and marketing team as required on key accounts, initiatives and campaigns


Account Manager requirements

  • Fluent in Norwegian or has demonstrable experience of working in Norway
  • Knowledge of sales and comfort with selling at both an operational and strategic level.
  • Competent in negotiating
  • Exceptional networking/interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of Operational Geology
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with people both within the company and externally
  • To build accurate, extensive product knowledge, and have an affinity with technology
  • Experience in G&G or a technical sales/business development background is desirable
