Thermal Designer

To further leverage our technology, Barco is expanding the team with focused talents to accommodate and increase developments based on customer specific requirements.

We are currently looking for a Thermal Designer

The position will be located in Fredrikstad, but will have a strong link to our global organization worldwide.

As a Thermal Designer:

• You will create the future thermal management system for our projectors in corporation with the R&D team in Fredrikstad and other international locations.
• You will be challenged by designing advanced and efficient cooling solutions.
• Key factors:
  • Simulation using CFD analysis
  • Use 3D Cad for development of cooling solutions
  • Apply theories of heat and energy transfer to create practical solutions to technical problems
  • Testing and development on systems throughout the development phase

Qualifications and personal qualities:

• Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably within Mechanics
• Experience with 3D Cad is an advantage
• Knowledge in Liquid cooling and thermodynamics
• Fluent communication skills in English and preferably Norwegian
• Analytical skills
• Structured and diligent
• Solutions oriented
• Practical and capable of using laboratory tools and measurement equipment
• Demonstrate a driving ability in both teamwork as well as individually
• Some travel may be necessary
