Do you have sound experience from managing and developing manufacturing processes?

As the Production Manager, you will be involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes and ensure that these are reliably and efficiently. You will make sure goods and services are processed efficiently, and that the correct amount is produced at the right time, cost and level of quality. This production site makes series components and equipment to explosion protection as well as custom designed systems and automation units to hazardous areas.

You will be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of the job is dealing with people management. You will work closely with the Research and Development Department and take an active part in the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly process for new product developments and be responsible for deployment of new product developments into manufacturing and production (e.g. Industrial Engineering coordination).

You will be responsible for the warehouse and inventory control and promote reliable inventory levels feeding the pipeline. A sound inventory system should be in place.

Qualifications and Experience:

Sound experience working within one or more of the below:

• Relevant university degree (bachelor or master's degree)
• Design engineering and manufacturing management
• Manufacturing engineering
• Manufacturing management
• Manufacturing systems engineering
• ICT literacy to deal with various technologies and programs
• Fluent in Norwegian language and good level of English, both written and spoken
• You will also have experience from driving LEAN projects and other improvement projects

Personal qualities:

• Planning and organization skills to be able run and monitor the production process
• Ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems
• Capacity to grasp concepts easily
• Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients
• Strong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget at the right time
• Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner

The Production Manager reports to Operations Director. Location is at production site at Gausel, Stavanger.
