Project Controller/Accounting

We are now looking for a Project Controller/Accounting to take part in our project of our oil discovery offshore Ghana. The role will be part of our Finance/Accounting department, with a direct reporting line to the Field Development Team.

Responsibilities and tasks: 

Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:

• Cost/commitment/invoice control
• Forecasting according to budgets and baselines
• Organize and establish baseline updates
• Liaise with Aker Energy Accounting Department/Finance
• Participate in the development and negotiations of contracts
• Monitoring and analysis of Contractor performance, including cost estimates, bids, change orders, invoices, quantities, material/labor rates, physical engineering/construction/commissioning and start-up progress
• Perform audits and examinations of internal and external (contractor) work processes, procedures and deliverables
• Monthly reporting
• Close collaboration with Delivery Managers/Teams, Planning Manager, Cost Control Manager, Risk Manager
• Provide Lessons Learned and experience data for Aker Energy’s procedures and systems for Project Control
• Participate in the implementation of Project Control System

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• A University Degree in Engineering or other relevant fields

Broad experience with:

• Project controls for large industrial construction project, i.e. cost control, scheduling and estimating
• Project Accounting/Financial reportingCommercial issues/claims negotiations
• Planning, Risk and Change ManagementCost control systems (EcoSys or similar)
