Job Description:

• Witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) carried out by the vendor on clients purchased products.
• Witness Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) carried out by the vendor on clients purchased products.
• Assist the vendor and/or client’s customers when carrying out visual and dimensional inspections on client’s products.
• Be familiar with clients specifications/engineering drawings and identify any deviations to the specifications/drawings, then take the necessary reporting actions.
• Approve the final product from the vendor before delivery to client or to client’s customer.
• Communicate and liaise with the relevant departments, the Project and the vendor.
• Look after customers when they are at the vendor site.
• Issue Inspection Release Notes.
• Sign off/approve test reports, punch lists and Mechanical Completion Check Records.
• Report/record deviations and defects.
• Issue Certificates of Conformity.
• Carry out inspection checks in Customer's data base if required (training will be given if needed).
• Review of vendor's manufacturing record books (MRBs) when required.
• Report any safety issues/observances.
• HSE, RCA and open order reviews with buyers

Qualifications:

• Identify deviations from standards/specifications/drawings and/or requirements.
• Understand the requirements of the department or the relevant project's priorities related to the quality control work being performed.
• Understand and check for engineering revision updates.
• Understand and check for open non-conformances and deviations.
• Knowledge/experience with using standard testing tools, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges and CMM equipment.
• Knowledge/experience with NDE processes.
• Knowledge/experience with metal coating processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft office programs, e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good verbal and written ability of both Norwegian and English.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Able to work independently and systematically.
• Quality focused, with a technical background (education and/or experience).
• Support a Zero Defects on delivery culture and continuous Improvement.
• Safety focused and prepared to stop work if unsafe acts are observed.
• Familiar with client’s business system 'SAP' (Training will be given if needed).
• Wear proper safety equipment and comply with clients and vendor's safety rules at all times.
• A higher Technical Level of Education such as Degree/Technical School or similar (Preferred is Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Materials Engineering). Relevant experience may compensate for level of formal education.
• Solid technical knowledge with at least 2 years' experience in a production, technical or quality department.
• Knowledge/experience with NDE processes.
• Knowledge/experience with metal coating processes.
• Knowledge/experience with machining processes.
• Preferred experience with oil industry subsea equipment.
