Project Engineer, SCM Application Engineering

Job Description:

• Check and review engineering documents.
• Stop engineering-work in a project if needed information from the project administration is missing, or if information from the project administration is not in accordance with valid instructions.
• Stop production of a product produced in the SCM workshop(s) which do not follow specification or correct process.
• Responsible for maintaining a detailed knowledge of the relevant Global and Local Work Instructions applicable for the SCM Application Engineering Team.
• Generally responsible for execution of appointed engineering work tasks according to the work instructions as described above to fulfill the project needs within the appointed area.
• Follow up work hours related appointed work tasks according to the SCM Application Engineering Team’s agreement with the project.
• Maintain E-plan for appointed documents and execute document preparation On Time in accordance with E-plan.
• Responsible for following up and execute appointed work tasks and arrange necessary meetings when needed.
• Responsible for reporting and following up action lists for appointed work tasks.
• Support production/supplier during assembly and test execution
• Perform the work proactively, in accordance with company policies and procedures, and to achieve product quality, functions and design life as specified or implied by Contract documents and company specifications.

Qualifications:

• BSc with minimum 4 years relevant experience, 2 years as SCM Application Engineer or MSc with minimum 2 years relevant experience, 2 years as SCM Application Engineer
• Experience can compensate for lack of formal competency
• Capable of working in teams
• Ability to work systematically and independently in a hectic environment.
• Good oral and written presentation skills in English.
• Capable in managing technical review meetings
• Capable in leading project engineering work
• Capable in coaching project engineers on technical issues
• Capable of doing SCM project engineering with support
• Capable of producing Product definition documents for SCM products
• Capable of producing test and assembly documents for SCM products
• Knowledgeable in SCM products
• Knowledgeable in sub-system
• Knowledgeable in use of Business Management System
