Structural Weight Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain weight databases for various offshore installations
• Establish and maintain weight reporting procedures according to contract requirements
• Execute weight control in modification projects
• Produce weight reports according to contract requirements
• Proactive attitude with respect to collecting weight information from projects and general maintenance phase through drawings, reports and digital archive investigation
• Provide weight input for cost estimating in Concept Study phase
• Extract loads from weight reports as input to global structural analyses The work assumes contact with a number of people from various disciplines, and thereby gives a unique opportunity to get an overall view of the projects.
• Perform weight database quality assurance through sporadic offshore surveys
• Act as connection link between workshop and discipline input with regards to installed weights
• Seek new way of working to increase effectiveness

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education, BSc in civil/marine or mechanical engineering is preferred experience from working with spreadsheets (excel and access databases)
• A minimum of two years experience from oil & gas industry but newly graduates will be considered
• Good interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Good/fluent Norwegian language
• Offshore mobilisation requirements will be given
• Software Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, SQL-databaser
