Sr. Process Engineer

For one of our clients  in Sandvika we are looking for a Sr. Process Engineer

Role summary/Purpose: 
The Senior Engineer (SE) Subsea Processing is part of the Subsea Power & Processing Engineering team. The SE shall use knowledge and expertise to generate market winning proposals in anticipation of business product need. The SE is the deputy for the Principal Engineer on all technical reviews and functions related to boosting and compression products and systems. 

Functions 
The Senior Engineer provides consultation and technical direction to the engineering community on near term and longer-range projects with substantial business impact. 

* Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for NPI activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions 
* Use knowledge and expertise to generate market winning proposals in anticipation of business product need 
* Serve as a recognized leader in defining the state of the art in own technical specialty to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities 
* Provide engineering support, within one specialty, to teams working on performance, cost reduction and quality initiatives 
* Leverage expertise to resolve problems in the field or during the manufacturing processes 
* Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools 
* Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company 
* Function as program manager when appropriate 
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers 
* Develop and implement training modules as necessary

Responsibilities: 
* The SE Subsea Processing is the expert in Subsea Processing systems and equipment including compressors, pumps and motors for subsea systems 
* Run dynamic process simulations 
* Perform sizing, equipment selection and recommend process systems solutions 
* Lead or support in tenders, studies and relevant internal projects. 
* Contribute in meetings with customers, support sales and marketing department. 
* Perform studies, FEEDs, pre-engineering and project engineering. 
* Establish specifications, requirements and interfaces. 
* Act as system lead in projects, studies and FEEDs. 
* Function as program manager when appropriate 

Essential Qualifications 
* University Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process engineering or equivalent 
* Extensive experience within Subsea boosting, separation and compression engineering 
* Proven domain expertise in Subsea Processing Systems & Products 
* Experienced with dynamic process simulations - OLGA/HYSYS/Etc 
* Familiar with International Standards within the field. 
* English fluent verbal and written. 

Desired Characteristics 
* Strong oral and written communication skills 
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
* Analytic, with strong problem analysis and resolution skills 
* Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in at least one technical specialty, along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within this field

Start date: 01.02.2019 
End date: 31.01.2020 (with option for renewal
