Project Engineer Machinery, Instrumentation and Condition Monitoring (KM 18-174)

Kongsberg Maritime (KM) Sensors and Robotics delivers instrumentation, sensors, systems and solutions to markets on- and offshore, merchant marine, subsea, navy, coastal marine and aquaculture. The division is located in Horten and Trondheim. The department in Trondheim has the main responsibility for delivery of sensing systems for rotating machinery, Condition Monitoring and Tank Level Gauging applications.

Condition Monitoring (CM) solutions for engines and rotating equipment are built on our strong knowledge within sensor technology, secure data handling and high-speed processing technology.

The embedded functionalities include information on operational status, advice for decision support and input for predictive maintenance.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Project engineering for Machinery Instrumentation and Condition Monitoring (CM) solutions for engines and rotating equipment.
• In cooperation with project manager, make plans, and coordinate project activities
• Close cooperation with KM subsidiaries globally, particularly in Korea and China
• Close cooperation with KM Customer Support and Product Departments

Requirements

• B.Sc. technical education
• Experience in use of CAD tools, preferably AutoCAD
• Experience in ERP, preferably Dynamics Axapta
• Knowledge in Maritime Instrumentation
• Good English skills are necessary
