We seek experienced HVAC Design Engineer in Aker Solutions

We have open permanent position as "HVAC Design engineer" in Aker Solutions Sandsli, Bergen.

HVAC engineers at Aker Solutions are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services. HVAC engineers at Aker Solutions interact with other Technical Disciplines, Client and Vendors.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Participate in the engineering of Front End,- Conceptual- and FEED Studies, M&M Projects in addition to major Modification- and Decommissioning Projects
• Contribute to the development of methodology, tools and competency within the HVAC Discipline
• Design and development of HVAC systems and calculations within a complex offshore installation (platform, FPSO, etc)
• D&IDS drafting
• 3D modelling in PDMS
• Development of layout and arrangement drawings and MTO/MEL Interface and cooperation with other project team members, subcontractors/vendors and client personnel as necessary

 Qualifications & personal attributes:

• 3 - 5 years of experience from the Oil and Gas industry, preferably in Norway
• Higher degree technical education, BSc, MSc in Mechanical / Civil engineering
• In-depth competency on mechanical equipment for offshore development projects
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
• Advanced drafting skills with PDMS and Microstation is required
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills written/spoken in both Norwegian and English
• Good cooperative and teamwork skills, flexibility, initiative and responsibility
