The opportunity

The Nordic business development team at EY embodies our commitment to a world class sales function that is market facing and client centric, bringing all of EY’s capabilities to drive market leading growth. The Pursuit Coordinator plays a key role in our business development team as an internal support function for sales and pursuit related work, primarily within audit services, which includes proposal and bid management activities. The role supports client teams mostly in the Norwegian market, based in Oslo, but the position also offers opportunities to work on larger pursuits and strategic initiatives within our Nordic business development team.

The Pursuit Coordinator provides strategic and tactical pursuit support, and seeks to make a critical difference through the following key areas of focus:

• Provide pursuit management, communications and administrative support, in order to respond proactively and effectively to strategic opportunities
• Embed pursuit excellence in the business by utilizing EY’s sales tools, methodologies and best practices to deliver high quality pursuit activities
• Build relationships across the region with key stakeholders to bring the best of EY to the pursuit team and to the external client
• Drive continuous innovation in the pursuit process to ensure EY offerings and deliverables stand out from our competitors

Your key responsibilities

• Strategic pursuit and opportunity management - actively participating in developing proposal strategy, company research and proposal production
• Strategic pursuit communications - co-developing proposals and campaigns to win new business
• Client relationships - building and leveraging relationships with industry/practice leaders to achieve business goals
• Administration – compliance with firm’s independence policy and quality measures, and business best practice initiatives

Skills and attributes for success

• 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, marketing or project management. Communications or proposal writing experience is desirable
• Well-organized with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Understand the client’s needs, showcase EY’s credentials and create compelling value propositions
• Competence in the application of MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel

To qualify for the role you must have

• University/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
• Excellent English and Norwegian writing and communication skills 
• Demonstrated project management experience
