Graduate 2019 - Reliability Engineer Husnes

Husnes plant has been 100 % fully owned by Hydro since November 2014. The plant has a beautiful location by the mouth of Hardangerfjorden and is Norway’s fourth largest aluminium producer measured by production capacity. Approx. 250?employees have their daily work at the plant, and the production capacity is 185 000 tons of primary aluminium.

The plant is moving into an excited period where a major investment project will be realized to increase production.

Area of Responsibility

The long-term strategy for Hydro Husnes is to be the world´s most effective 200 tons aluminium plant. To reach this goal we need a dedicated and engaged Reliability Engineer. As a Reliability Engineer you will have a key role within the Technical Department where some of the tasks and responsibilities are:

• Continuous improvement and optimization within maintenance
• Development, improvement and optimization of the maintenance program
• Risk analysis and risk assessments
• Analysis based on data collection 
• Criticality and maintenance analysis such as RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance)
• Optimization of SPIR evaluation
• Reliability assessment of safety barriers and instrumented security systems

 The candidate will be part of the Technical department and report to the Technical manager.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree within Mechanical Engineering (preferably RAMS) or similar
• Maximum 2 years of work experience after graduation
• Good academic results
• Good communication and cooperation skills
• Engagement through student activities is an advantage
