Graduate 2019 - Maintenance Engineer Høyanger

Høyanger Metal Plant produces approximately 120.000 tons of sheet ingots annually. The metal is extensively used for foil and lithographic plates, as well as in the automotive industry, enabling car manufacturers to build lighter and safer cars that pollute less.?Awarded several times over the past years for its results in quality, health, safety and environment, the Høyanger organization is well known for dedicated improvement initiatives and determined safety work.

The maintenance department at Høyanger Metal Plant consists of 23 employees, and is responsible for the plant's electricity supply, IS/IT, project portfolio and maintenance. To deliver according to the expectations of Hydro’s improvement program, we are looking for a mechanical engineer within project and modifications.

Area of Responsibility

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing tasks in accordance to Hydro’s overall guidelines and procedures, including:

• Ensuring that implementation of projects is in accordance with the CVP model
• Carrying out projects and modifications in relation to Høyanger Metal Plant’s priorities
• Participate in improvement groups and be a driving force in Aluminium Metal Business Systems efforts to ensure continuous improvement of safety, reliability and efficient operation
• Support the Industry 4.0 program in Primary Metal

Qualifications

• Master’s degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Maximum 2 years of work experience after graduation
• Good academic results
• Good analytical skills
• Fluency in English and Norwegian
• You work well in teams and share knowledge with others, but also have the ability to work independently
• Understanding of principles and tools for continuous improvement
• Involvement in student activities is considered an advantage
