Hydraulisk, elektrisk, mekanisk og struktur ingeniør

We are currently looking for several engineers within several disciplines to join our Technical Department at Palfinger Marine Safety, Seimsfoss. The disciplines were we are looking for engineers are electrical engineering, hydraulic engineering, mechanical engineering and structural design/calculation.  

YOUR TASKS:

• Design of lifeboat/davit systems or parts therein, specify components and prepare technical documentation according to technical department procedures, customer requirements and international standards.
• Prepare / support project department with technical documentation related to engineering.
• Technical clarifications with suppliers during purchasing process and support purchasing department.
• Cooperate with colleagues from other disciplines in technical department during design of complete product.
• Participate on meetings related to company products design, development and testing.
• Report progress to Technical Lead in project.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
• Proven work experience from within the area of electrical/ hydraulic design, but newly graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Relevant experience from similar position and proven good technical understanding may compensate for lack of formal education.
• Practical background from workshop work and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform work tasks in an orderly, systematic manner and to agreed deadlines.
• Ability to abstract detailed technical solutions and their consequences to the overall requirements and functionality of the final product.
• Ability to find good technical and practical solutions on complex tasks in an efficient manner.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Structured, creative and solution oriented.
• Experience with CAD (preferably NX), 3D/2D.
• Computer skills, MS office, other relevant software.
• English and Norwegian language skills pre-requisite, both written and verbal.
