Ship Operator

Simpson Spence Young Bergen is mainly operating within the tanker segemnt and is particularly focusing on brokering services towards product and chemical tankers. We are now seeking a qualified, experienced and motivated ship operator to join our team in Bergen. The operators main tasks are to assist our customers in achieving efficient, safe and accurate voyages and operations. The ideal candidate has a high working capacity and functions well both as part of a team and individually within our organisation. 

Tasks:

• Ensure efficient communication between offices, customers, vessels and agents.
  
• Performance monitoring.
  
• KPI Tracking.
  
• Internal reporting.
  
• Post fixture system maintenance.
  

Qualifications:

• Preferably 2 years relevant work experience.
  
• Relevant education, relevant experience can compensate for lack of education.
  
• Ability to interact with different cultures.
  
• Fluency in English – written and oral.
  
• Experience in ship operations or logistics is preferred.
  
• Good ICT skills.
