In order to achieve Aker BP's vision in becoming "the leading independent offshore E&P company", the company is in the middle of a series of improvement initiatives including implementation of lean. This includes developing method, principle and tools for molding the future in the way we work at Aker BP. The Senior Quality Professional will play an essential role in this journey.

The role will be a part of the Lean & Improvement team and report to the leader for Lean & Improvement. In addition to improvement & lean, this department is responsible for managing the Improvement & Performance network across all functions and drive continual learning internally and externally. The Senior Quality Professional will be the primary responsible for ensuring that continual learning from other Companies is transferred to this network. In addition, the role will be responsible for improvement and lean training for both onshore and offshore. Work closely with Aker BP Academy (HR) to plan, schedule and conduct training. Plan, develop and improve employee onboarding and leadership training in close cooperation with HR.

Tasks

Drive and improve competence in the Improvement & Performance network in Aker BP.
Participate in further development of new methods, tools and techniques for improvement and lean in Aker BP.
Develop and introduce techniques for improving decision making at all levels within the end-to-end business processes
Work with management and employees to ensure that Aker BP continually improves its systems and processes
Promote and support implementation of lean in Aker BP across all functions
Assist business units in preparation and execution of process improvement projects
Continuous improvement in everything we do within improvement
Write articles and provide communication to organization related to improvement and lean

Qualifications

University degree, minimum bachelor
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, experience from engineering is an advantage.
Strong facilitation and coaching skills with teaching qualifications or experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience from and able to show successes from lean implementation and coaching
Experience from process improvement / improvement projects
Experience from change management and implementation
Good understanding of quality assurance methods and tools
Good understanding of Oil & Gas operations
Lean Six Sigma professional
Training and educational skills
Business understanding
Business process management
Some travel will be required
MUST be able to travel offshore
