AMC'". The popularity of home theater and growing use of multi- channel
formats in musical recordings are fueling the demand for high
performance multi- channel amplifiers.
Popular for use in home theater systems, multi- channel amplifiers can
deliver power to left, center and right front speakers together with
surround speakers, all from a single chassis. Today's digitally encoded,
multi- format movie soundtracks and musical recordings can produce
incredible dynamics in all of their completely separate channels.
Amplifiers reproducing these dynamic signals must do so without
interfering with each other.
In high quality amplifiers, circuit design is c r i t i c a l i n order to achieve
maximum performance and exceptional sound. Each channel of the
2N100 series amplifiers employs an independent, unipolar power module.
This design provides wide dynamic range with greater efficiency while
assuring phase integrity and the lowest levels of interchannel crosstalk.
Additionally, all 2N100 series amplifiers u t i l i z e high current output
devices, oversized toroidal power transformers and unique commutating
dual- stage power supplies. This combination enables 2N100 series
amplifiers to deliver up to 20% more power than other amplifiers of
similar size and to provide the high current demanded by low impedance
loads, which are exhibited by virtually a l l contemporary loudspeakers.
The 2N100 series amplifiers provide high quality speaker binding posts
that can accommodate large gauge speaker cables or banana plugs.
Each channel is equipped with both signal input and output jacks for
