WW2 Junghans German Navy (Kriegsmarine) bulkhead clock.

Beskrivelse av varen
A rarity for sale. A Wehrmacht (Kriegsmarine) bulkhead clock, used in u-boats. Typically called a u-boat radio operator's clock. The clock uses a Junghans' J30E movement. I encourage you the Google the model number and find a clock in better condition than this one. In excellent condition. Kriegsmarine emblem is clearly visible. Several of these clocks have had the emblems rubbed out due to notority associated with the war-time symbol.
The clock is mounted on a black plastic stand with screws and can be easily removed if wanted. The clock works fine when wound and hands move smoothly when set. It has been wound and run just a few times and hence not used regularly. Clock has not been cleaned, polished, painted, opened, repaired or modified by me in any way. It has been carefully stored ever since I purchased it. If you want to run it daily, I will suggest getting it serviced - as with any mechanical clock, if you want to keep them running for life, service and oiling is needed. I did not get it serviced because I want to maintain it's originality.
The bezel ring is close to 9,5 cm in diameter, around 12 cm including latch and hinge. The plastic stand base measures around 11 cm. The clock is around 3,5 cm thick.
The clock can be seen in Oslo or in Trondheim by prior appointment. Collection is certainly preferred, but I can gladly send it if buyer pays in advance and accepts full responsibility of the clock once it is delivered in post.
