The main responsibility in this position is network configuration of the companys maritime satellite communication hardware.
Workplace will be Eik Teleport or Gausel, Stavanger.
Some travel in Norway and abroad may be required.
Work tasks and responsibilities
• Configure and prepare new network HW before shipment to our customers
• Perform changes on existing network solutions.
• Working closely in a team internally in delivery and contribute to other network department in Marlink
• Customer contact during roll out process.
• Documentation of solutions.
The position requires a candidate who has
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent
- Knowlegde of VSAT/Satellite Communication systems
- Knowlegde/experience of Mulitiplexers, Frame relay, MPLS, Switches (HP and Cisco), Firewalls, Wifi technology, WAN acceleration devices and PDX's
- Good grasp of the English language both written and oral
- IP and networking
