Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. On behalf of a customer we are looking for a Area Site Construction Engineer.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Role of the Area Construction Engineer (ACE) is to follow up the EPCm’s multidiscipline construction and mechanical completion activities in the assigned area on behalf of the Area Construction Manager. In addition the ACE will be responsible for site HSE during construction. The responsibilities include (but shall not be limited to):

• Manage and be passionate on HSE at site during construction, perform the necessary interventions, participate in care talks and integrity checks.
• Reviewing and provide feedback from the field on the Project Construction schedule
• Ensure Pre-construction readiness checks (engineering, manpower, consumables, materials, equipment, supervision, MC packs, handover requirement) are held as necessary
• Manage timely preparation of and attend Risk assessments , Safe Job Analyses (SJA’s) as applicable to the position
• Contribute to and assure proper Permit to Work (PTW) requests and approval
• Manage Quality at site, perform the required interventions (NCR, observation forms) and liaise with the QA/QC department
• Ensure proper lifting plans being in place where required
• Help to Ensure that preservation of items in area of responsibilities is carried out correctly and in a timely fashion
• Ensure timely notification of the responsible (discipline) engineers regarding Hold and witness points
• Review construction sequence and monitor activities against schedule and verify claimed contractor progress
• Identify eventual damage, wrong hook up etc as early as possible and actively participate in the remedial action.
• Follow up closure of Punch List items and coordinate sign off of MC packs
• Attend and give input to required construction meetings (e.g. Daily meeting, Constructability sessions, Schedule Reviews, problem solving etc)
• Be passionate on and drive optimisation initiatives of plans, people, scaffolding, materials and other resources during the construction phase
• Prepare and issue daily construction report.
• When necessary carry the duty phone to witness HSE notification

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 15+ years execution experience
• Electrical & Instrumentation background with multidiscipline knowledge
• EPCm experience at supervisor level brownfield experience for PtW verification / LOTO / isolation support 
• Norwegian speaking
• Rotation 2 weeks on / 3 weeks off
