Sr QC Field Engineer

For one of our international O&G clients we're looking for a skilled QC Field Engineer to support their expansion project for the landing facility.

You will work as Technical Authority in accordance with Client Technical Integrity Framework. In accordance with Client HSSE & SP Control Framework.

You will be part of the QA site team to manage quality control in the field during the execution of the Nyhamna Expansion Project, up to successful, coordinated and flawless start-up and on-stream production.  The Senior Multi Discipline Field Engineer will report to QA Manager on a daily basis and interface with part or all of the project team, engineering teams, contractors and suppliers.

Work pattern: 10/4, Nyhamna - Norway.

Job Description:

The candidate must actively demonstrate support for the corporate position on health, safety, sustainable development, diversity, respectful workplace and the General Business Principles and Code of Ethics. Your work responsibilities will furthermore include:

• Familiarisation to applicable codes, standards, specifications and approved drawings for the project.
• Familiarisation to project specific ITP’s and ensuring ITP surveillance points are adhered to, secure attendance from the field engineers Review and maintain familiarity with test specifications and quality plans.
• Prepare non-conformance reports.
• Follow-up and archiving quality records.
• Liaise with QA to ensure correct calibration of equipment and secure maintenance of calibration records.
• Liaise with engineering to secure building codes such as NORSOK. 
• Making punch list against incomplete work. 
• Monitor all construction activities in all discipline regarding quality.
• Participant in inspection activities according to Inspection and Test Plan as required.
• Ensure that contractor personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure that systems and equipment are protected and preserved.
• Ensure that construction documentation is issued by Contractor in accordance with requirements. 
• Ensure MC complete for handover to Commissioning.
• Participant in punch out and monitor MC status in MIPS with special focus on ISO discipline and also have a multi discipline overview Interface with ISO (Insulation, Surface and Scaffolding) and multi discipline QC disciplines at Contractor.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/DELIVERABLES: Working through EPCM contractor to construct a plant that achieves project objectives of cost, schedule as defined in the contract and quality as defined in contract. This position will also provide assurance that the plant is built to project specification.

Requirements:

• Professional Experience & Skills Equivalent of 10-15 years experience in the international Oil & Gas Industry of which at least 5 years field experience in engineering in a large project environment, construction, and start- up of a similar plant.
• Familiarity with International codes and standards as applicable to the Oil & Gas processing/mining industry 
• Recent experience preferable of working with, procedures and quality audits / surveillance.
• Understands and has the ability to interpret fabrication drawings.
• Computer Skills: (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Planning and databases).
• Fluent in verbal and written English. MIPS experience is an advantage.
