Engineering Manager

Overall responsible for large gas turbine packages and manage the departments for engineering disciplines, hereunder mechanical, mechanical system, electrical, analysis and project engineering. Establish strategic and operational objectives in adherence to Dresser-Rand strategy and delegate assignments to subordinate managers. 

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Establish strategic and operational objectives for subordinate managers.
• Establish annual operating budgets for the department, coordinated according to approved plans for D-R AS, and take responsibility within agreed budgets and plans.
• Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operation.
• Establish engineering project team on request.
• Establish budgets for office hours and project plans in cooperation with Project Management for new projects.
• Develop and maintain work processes, instructions and tools connected to the engineering disciplines.
  • Continuously work to improve the quality of existing, internal processes and develop new processes when required.
• Secure that engineering is performed in accordance with project requirement; customer specifications, international and national standards and existing regulations.
• Secure that the department is supporting the order capture teams (region).
• Coordinate the activities of the department with other departments and the D-R Corporation.
• Give necessary support to other departments within the company in connection with sales and generally where it may be needed.
• Coordinate overall PUNE activities for engineering disciplines.

Position Qualifications:

• University Degree/Higher technical education within engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience.
• Technical knowledge of rotating equipment, preferably from the oil- and gas business.
• Proactive and resourceful.
• Well-structured and result-oriented.
• Good in communication and collaboration capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English, written and oral.
